We are Free The Soccer, a social movement that raises awareness of soccer in the USA. This comunity is formed by soccer enthusiasts that perceive soccer as a hobby, an emotion and a life style. As a soccer lovers, we think that sports values and passion are meant to united and strength the relationships between every kind of people. So, although we do not know each other yet, we are sure we will be able to share and maintain our passion for the beautiful game through our Free the soccer community!

Equal pay for equal play seems fair. Since the US women’s team currently draws a larger crowd, and now generates more revenue for US soccer, I don’t see why the men’s team should be more highly paid.

I say good for the Women’s US Soccer team. They have played it nice for far too long. They win, draw crowds, and this summer when they play for the World Cup, will draw high TV ratings.

I have a better idea. Let’s do like corporate America does and close the income gap by diluting the men’s pay.

Pay for performance. The USA women’s team has far outperformed the men’s team.

This should be a no- brainer. The U.S. Womens Soccer Program is iconic in the world of sports. The U.S. Mens Team has been basically mediocre at best.
